I think ...Well done, good luck and hope you get it. I think there are many fund-raising opportunities and you should be able to get pretty big following if you can blog from the boat.

I am kind of jealous and also not. Jealous because it's a big thing to do and I don't know that I would have the nerve to do such a big thing, not jealous because I'm scared silly of pretty much any boat smaller than a ferry.

When I was 10 my parents upped sticks and moved us to Spain for a year, because they had an opportunity to live in a friend's flat and teach his students. It was a huge thing to do, but a brilliant one for everyone. If you have it in you to do it, then you really should (and you get it, of course). Your kids will be absolutely fine and all their friends will be stunned by what a cool mum they have. It will probably do your husband good, too (don't know him, of course, but I think the vast majority of husbands would benefit from being main carer for more than a couple of days!).

Wow!Coding Mamma (Tasha)https://www.blogger.com/profile/17374751246656722167noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2133786582796275869.post-51206100394061642422009-01-28T22:28:00.000+00:002009-01-28T22:28:00.000+00:00I am glad that you have decided to try it out!! And yes, I would like to angle to be their media correspondent from the boat (which is one of the roles). Am completely torn between the first leg (hot, humid, very little wind so good for tan but highly frustrating) vs the second leg which is white knuckle yee-hah racing in big waves. Less chance of a tan, more chance of a lost finger but much more exhilirating. Decisions decisions. I am going to be so gutted now if I don't get in.Home Office Mumhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18248456622235889204noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2133786582796275869.post-80184971659599831642009-01-28T21:07:00.000+00:002009-01-28T21:07:00.000+00:00That is so amazing HOM (hom? I would LOVE to do the first two legs but being away from Mid Sept till end NOv is just too long away from my boys and my poor husband might lose the plot.

Potty Mummy, I'm not sure how I'm going to make it happen if I get accepted but I'm going to go for it!Home Office Mumhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18248456622235889204noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2133786582796275869.post-5203553926056585862009-01-28T20:31:00.000+00:002009-01-28T20:31:00.000+00:00You know, I saw that ad too, and for just one mome...You know, I saw that ad too, and for just one moment pictured myself battling the elements and being part of team facing extreme challenges.
