Going quiet

I seem to have lost my blogging mojo. Again. I've also noticed that a number of the bloggers I follow have been posting less frequently. I've been reading fewer blogs. I've been getting fewer comments. And I've had less to say.

I've been in this place before. Ironically, almost as soon as I say that I'm taking a break from blogging, I get inspired to blog about something, which is why I'm not saying: 'Farewell forever'. I'm just saying: 'I'm off for a bit'.

My new business is now getting up and running. You can watch this video to find out more about what I'm going to be doing. I did my first bit of outreach today to a potential (big) customer and got a really positive response - getting to meet them next week! That, together with all the pre-christmas fund-raising I've been doing for the school and local village hall etc etc etc (as blogged about here), is probably what has sapped my blogging energy.

So I'm going to go quiet for a bit. In the immortal words of that 80s Glass Tiger classic 'Don't forget me when I'm gone...'

I know how you feel, I was blogging once/week for a long time and then I took a rest and then it was hard to start posting again.

What did get me going again was being encouraged to take part in an expat blogger competition. Now I am feeling re-energised!

But I agree with you generally, I've seen a downturn in blogging recently - maybe it's the Winter months setting in?

Sorry to hear you're blogging off for a bit....but enjoy it, and I know what you mean. We all need a break sometimes - I know I do too. Maybe we'll all feel more inspired in the New Year!

I can't watch that video (out of allowed area).

Email me and tell me what you're about (or send me a link to another video, perhaps?)

I think you'll be back, as you say.

I will miss your blog posts but completely understand.

I have 'followed' you blog for while but never commented, for which I apologise. I think this is mainly due to using a rss reader and not so easy to sumbit comments. I love the openess and writing style - I always find I am smiling at the end of them. Recently I was very moved by your blog post about discovering your son is a sensitive child.

I wish you you all the best for your new business, although deep down I was looking forward to your different job a week idea :o)

I wish you well and look forward to your return.

See - I'm even rubbish at replying to comments. Paul - I definitely have these ups and downs. I'm sure I will be back when I get the sudden urge to blog again.

NVG - hopefully I'll get a new year, new inspiration thing happening. Have a fab Xmas by the way

Iota - it's called Newbury Creative www.newburycreative.co. uk - although the website is just a holding page at the moment. A creative marketing agency specialising in branding, marketing and digital (not PR!)

A - Thanks for your lovely comments! hopefully I'll be back when I'm feeling more inspired

I know what you mean. I have been blogging less and less and also going round to comment less and less. You will be back - inspired and with new mojo.

PS: Very impressing video.
